Dr. Wilson
received
his Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the University of Central
Arkansas. His Master's, in Vocal Performance, is from the
University of Texas. He also holds a Ph. D. in Fine Arts from
Clayton University.
Dr. Wilson has studied voice with Martha Deatherage, Dr. Edward Baird,
and with Metropolitan Operan Tenor Arturo Sergi. He has sung
tenor roles in productions of "La Rondine," "A Midsummer's Night
Dream," "Falstaff," "Die Frau Ohne Schatten," and "The Merry
Widow." He has been a recitalist, an adjudicator, a conductor,
and an opera/music theater director for many years. He founded
the Fort Hood Community Chorus and has conducted over twenty annual
productions of "Messiah" with the ensemble.
Dr. Wilson has been an active member of NATS for over thirty years as
well as being a member of TCDA.
